Alice and Charlie met on a mountain biking trip in Morocco many moons ago…… Charlie was the super-fit trip leader and Alice was the game girl at the back. Things haven’t changed much!

In January 2013, they did the Marrakesh half marathon together, and the seed was sown. Charlie upped his game and entered the toughest footrace on earth, the Marathon Des Sables and persuaded Alice to join him. Looking around for help, they realised that there was a big gap in the market for running training and decided to set up Epic Running for Epic Runners.

Come and join us!

Alice Morrison, Co-Founder

Alice has worked in the media since she got her first full time job aged 17. She got a taste for adventure early on, as she was brought up in Africa and watched her Dad climb the Mountains of the Moon. She later scaled them too. She is a veteran of adventure and fitness holidays and looks at everything from a client's perspective. In 2011, she took part in the Tour D'Afrique, the longest bike race on earth, 12,500 kms from Cairo to Cape Town. She has let Charlie persuade her into doing the Marathon Des Sables 2014.

Charlie Shepherd, Co-Founder

Charlie is the founder of Epic Morocco and has been working in tourism for the past 14 years. After an extensive period of world travel he joined a Latin American tour operator in 1997 and managed their adventure tours department. After seven years working in London he felt it was time to spread his wings and set up his own company. Epic Morocco was born after a series of visits to Morocco when he and his better half fell in love with the country. He divides his time between leading tours and managing the company from the office. He is training for the Marathon Des Sables 2014.
